Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients on a wide range of tax-related matters, including tax planning, compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and provide sound legal guidance.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and other legal proceedings related to tax matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective legal strategies and solutions tailored to meet individual needs and objectives.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, advising clients on potential implications and opportunities.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.B. degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing - Law Society of British Columbia.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing tax law, preferably in a law firm or corporate setting.
• Tax law background or LL.M in Tax Law.
• Strong understanding of federal, provincial, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to providing excellent client service and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
